heyguyseric Franklin here at Microsoft's super secret event where they just unveiled their surface tablet The mystery is over and it's called a Surface It has a 10 .6-inch screen it has a 16 :9 aspect ratio This is a premium tablet that will be a competitor to the iPad It runs Windows 8 there'll also be a version that runs Windows RT It has a keyboard that's also a cover that attaches via magnet it's kind of like Apple's SmartCover for their iPad There's also a built-in kickstand so when you're watching movies or typing it stands up on its own it's really nice Prices are set to be competitive with other tablet that have come out around the same time as windows 8 is planned to come out which is around October No word on actual price or an actual date of availability this is Eric Franklin from Microsoft's live event looking at the Surface tablet
