So david this is your last TV interview after well I suppose it's been an incredible four and a half year journey .
It feels like we've been building up to this episode for four and half years actually It feels like this is the moment we've been heading towards It feels very exciting I'm really excited for people to see it It will be odd once it's gone because it's quite an all-consuming thing and Doctor Who is a big part of my life and everyday it impacts on my life in some way and to be saying farewell to the kind of sharp end of that is peculiar I don't know how it'll feel in six months time but right now I'm just really excited about this last story going out .

what do you think people's reaction will be from the end of this episode Is it going to be very emotional ?
I think it will I think it will be emotional in some ways It will be very exciting you know the notion I remember as a kid watching Tom Baker turn into Peter Davidson it was thrilling because to know what's gonna happen next and who this new guy is and does the Doctor continue and how does it feel So I'm sure it'll be very exciting to witness and I think it's quite sad as well you know and there's this is a Doctor who is full of life so to see him struggling against the loss of that is I think quite poignant

you gonna return to doctor Who at any point The fiftieth anniversary is coming up in 2013 If they do a multi-Doctor story would you be interested in coming back ?
who knows Who knows again with something I don't hear You have to be so careful with what you say If I say yes I'll be returning for the fiftieth anniversary special Even if I hint that I would be against the idea that will be reported as fact tomorrow so I really genuinely don't know .
this time last year when Matt Smith was revealed as the eleventh doctor he picked up an envelope and said David Tennant's written me a little message Can you reveal what you told him ?
You know there's nothing really to say I just said you know if you have half as good a time as I had you'll have a ball It is the greatest job and it's just really good fun The greatest part you get to do everything and be everything and you get to save the universe on a weekly basis It doesn't get much better than that
